Help making stuffkeeper rule the planet
You came to this page for one of the following reasons:
- You have programming skills, that are out of this world.
- You like the word Help. Helping means you can show of with your social skills.
- You feel sad for us, working on this project.
In all cases, be assured: We could do with your help.
"Hey, nice. Where can i start?"
Easy as pie, there are several ways you can help improving Stuffkeeper even more.
Programming
Let's face it: Stuffkeeper is Qball's baby and he won't ever allow you to touch his code. No seriously, if you know how to fix bugs or how to contribute ideas in a team, you are more than welcome to join us.
In fact right now, we are looking for some help with the planned Plugin system. So if you think Stuffkeeper needs nothing more than bindings for {your_prefered_language}, then get your favorite Text editor, join us on #stuffkeeper on the Freenode network and start coding!
Testing
This will be a shock for you, but Stuffkeeper is not perfect. And yes, we are not perfect too, i know this sounds even worse. But it is a fact and thats why we need your help to find every possible problem that remains with Stuffkeeper. If you find anything, report it to http://bugtracker.sarine.nl/ or join us on #stuffkeeper on Freenode Network.
Creativity
You have no talent for any of these things? But people say you have some strange mind? Well, maybe your crazy ideas are exactly what Stuffkeeper needs. Maybe we just havent dared to think about them, because our cognitive system is not half as advanced as yours... And even if not: Let us know your ideas! As usual there is either #stuffkeeper or (prefered): http://stuffkeeper.org/index.php/GitWishList
Translations
As of version 0.10 Stuffkeeper is officially talking to all cultures worldwide. Right now this means, your culture has to a) learn german or english, or b) you have to help translate Stuffkeeper to your native language! For more informations how to do this, check out the Translations page.
Supporters
One thing everyone can do - yes that includes even you, the one that can't even bothered to help testing - is to spread the word. You like this little gem? Tell others! So if you know that spamming is a bad thing, but talking about personal preferences is bliss, then make Stuffkeeper a personal preference and start your mission!
Disclaimer: Payment
The guy that wanted to prove its social skills knows this already, but i mention it for all the others: This is free software, which means all the payment you get is complaints about missing features, crying for orthographic mistakes in your translations and general a happy time!
